How do I create a backup of my site in cPanel?

By Spiderz • November 1, 2023

Creating a backup of your website in cPanel is straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Login to your cPanel account.
  2. Under the “Files” section, click on “Backup.”
  3. Select “Download a Full Account Backup.”
  4. Choose the destination for the backup. You can select the home directory or provide an FTP server for remote storage.
  5. Click “Generate Backup.” This process may take some time, depending on the size of your website.

Good to Know: It’s good practice to store multiple backups in different locations for redundancy, i.e. a cloud service like Google Drive or offline on your local storage.
