How long does it take for an MX record change to take effect?

When you update an MX record, the change might not be instant due to DNS propagation. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours for the change to fully propagate across the internet.

Good to Know: To speed up the transition, you can reduce the Time To Live (TTL) value of your DNS records before making changes. However, the propagation time largely depends on external factors like ISP caching, etc.
